A healthy
business
It is important to maintain the opportunity to run a healthy business as a gambling company in DK. It is natural that the industry is sharply regulated and must live up to many requirements. Still, it is also essential to keep the balance, so running a legitimate gaming business in DK is attractive.
Positive contribution
to the society
The gambling industry contributes positively to society. To obtain a Danish gambling license, the gambling providers must pay a fee of 28 per cent of the revenue. This fee is a new income for the Danish treasury, which the unregulated market of the past did not allow.

leisure activity
Spillebranchen believes that gambling is an entirely legitimate leisure activity on a par with many others but that gambling addiction is an evil that must be combated. The gambling industry has no desire to promote gambling addiction, which is harmful to the industry in addition to unfortunate fates.

In Spillebranchen’s point of view, the Danish Licensing system in the gamin area, which came into force in 2012, has promoted healthy competition in the gaming area, in contrast to the monopoly conditions of earlier times.

Code of Conduct
The code of conduct for social responsibility and marketing for gambling is drafted by Spillebranchen in cooperation with other industry organisations for gaming in the fall of 2018.

Advertising Board
The gaming industries providers of gaming have joined forces on a board to deal with complaints about advertisements from gaming providers. The board’s name is the gaming advertisement board (da: Spilreklamenævnet), and HORESTA administrates the board.
